Hope for Wholeness Affiliate Highlight Abba’s Delight
Abba’s Delight was the very first Hope for Wholeness Ministry Affiliate. Abba’s Delight is a Christian ministry in the Louisville, Kentucky area, offering assistance and support to those who are impacted by homosexuality.
Daniel Mingo is a man of great character, a former homosexual, who would point to Christ for any honor towards his life or ministry. He’s a member of the Hope for Wholeness Governing Board, as well as the HFW Affiliate Council. He shared at both of our last two conferences, teaching and sharing his story.
Daniel recently put up a billboard in his area that got a great deal of attention from the gay community, including a protest rally at the billboard site, and local media coverage. The lash back ended in the billboard being defaced. Daniel responded by replacing the billboard with a simple message of God’s love and salvation for the homosexual. The billboard also featured that “Abba’s Delight is a member ministry of the Hope for Wholeness Network.”
Their mission reads, “Abba’s Delight was established to provide ministry opportunities through a relationship with Jesus Christ and His church to those who are sexually broken. Combining God the Father’s love of His children with a program of structured learning, teaching, accountability and interpersonal relationships within the Body of Christ, Abba’s Delight provides a foundation for healing, maturity and sexual purity to those struggling with unwanted same sex attractions. Additionally, Abba’s Delight is equipped to minister to spouses, parents, families and friends, whose lives have been impacted by homosexuality. Pastors and churches can benefit by educating themselves through Abba’s Delight in effective ways to minister in their own congregations, and by providing a safe and welcoming environment to strugglers desiring to overcome homosexual attractions, which will aid in fostering growth and maturity in their Christian walk.”
