Mercy: Core of Redemption
The willingness to receive Christ’s tender acceptance in the midst of our failures, to trust in His mercy knowing we could never repay it, is the entrance to the most profound freedom imaginable, filled with joy. Many miss it due to distorted views of justice. Once we receive His mercy at the deepest points of weakness, fear and alienation, we enter into new dimensions of life. This trajectory is illustrated vividly and poetically in a pair of contrasting soliloquies to be explored from “Les Miserables” (Hebrews 4:13-16).
